DAY 1

Airport Transfer to Antigua Guatemala

A private transport will be waiting to take you to Antigua Guatemala.

The journey can take an hour and a half depending on traffic.

DAY 2

LAKE ATITLÁN TOUR

5:30-6:00 am

A 15-seat shared bus will pass by your hotel to take you to Panajachel. This bus ride takes two and a half hours, depending on traffic.

8:30 am Arrival in Panajachel, upon arrival you will have a typical breakfast included before starting the tour

9:00 am Start of the tour visiting three different towns around the lake: San Juan, San Antonio Palopó and Santiago Atitlán.


San Juan la Laguna

Visit a women's textile cooperative. Tour an art gallery to appreciate paintings, and visit a chocolate factory where you can taste the products.


Saint Anthony Palopó

Visit a small pottery workshop. Each technique will be explained, and you'll have the opportunity to participate in the process (optional).


Santiago Atitlán

Interaction with a family that practices religious syncretism (a blend of religions). Visit to a church and altar where Saint Simon (Maximon) is located.

For lunch (NOT INCLUDED) the guide will suggest a restaurant where you can have lunch, if you do not wish to be in this one, you can notify the guide and he will give you the meeting point at the end of the meal time.


3:00 pm Tour ends.

4:00 pm Transfer to your hotel in Panajachel.

DAY 3

CITY TOUR WALKING THROUGH ANTIGUA

9:00 am

Departure from your hotel

We'll begin a three-and-a-half-hour walking tour of Antigua Guatemala. You'll be accompanied by our certified local guide, who will explain how Antigua was the capital of the Captaincy General of Guatemala and how its architecture and urban layout reflect its historical significance. He or she will tell you about the earthquakes that shaped its destiny and how its legacy has been preserved.

He will take you to the most important spots in the Colonial City and tell you every important detail surrounding each one.

At the end of the tour, you will be dropped off at your hotel again to take some free time and head off to the Capital City.


AIRPORT/HOTEL TRANSFER GUATEMALA CITY

A private shuttle will take you to La Aurora International Airport or to your hotel in the capital city.

The departure time is at the client's choice.
