1:00 p.m. Return the following day (approximate time). We will have a specific departure point, which will be provided once your reservation is confirmed. The group consists of 25-30 people. Upon arrival at the meeting point, you will be given detailed instructions on how to climb the volcano, including information about the route. It is very important that you eat a good breakfast (NOT INCLUDED) to have energy. The Acatenango Volcano is a popular destination for hiking and nature lovers, offering a unique and challenging experience in a breathtaking volcanic setting. The ascent to Acatenango is considered difficult and requires good physical condition and a lot of endurance. It offers spectacular views of the erupting Fuego Volcano and reaches an altitude of 3,976 meters above sea level, making it the third highest volcano in Guatemala. The ascent can take up to 7 hours depending on the pace of the group, with a stop for lunch. The base of the camp is approximately 3,500 meters above sea level. Upon arrival at the camp, the guide will assign you to the cabin where you will spend the night.
